A New Beginning with Similarweb: How Our Customers Will Benefit

Last week, we made a big announcement and our excitement is just starting to settle in. Rank Ranger has been acquired by Similarweb.

This isn’t just exciting for those of us who have worked tirelessly to build our beloved Rank Ranger product, but for our customers, this good news is just the beginning. This marks a great investment in the enablement of all SEO managers and will allow for new functionality in the coming months.

We understand that an acquisition can raise questions for our long-term users. Especially if you rely on our dashboards and reporting for the success of your business. First, we want to let you know that our number one priority is you, our customers, and our continued investment in our relationship.

Here are the key questions I’ll be answering for you today:
  • Will there be any big changes to the Rank Ranger functionality?
  • Will there be significant pricing changes?
  • Will there be any changes to customer service?

Rank Ranger Functionality 

In the short term, there are no plans to change our core functionality. We’ll be operating Rank Ranger the same way we have been to date. Same trusted marketing dashboards. Same detailed analytics toolset. Same in-depth and up-to-date reporting of SERPs and competitor data in the application you are familiar with.

Now for the best part…

We see Similarweb as a complementary software to Rank Ranger.

This means we’ll have increased opportunities to develop a whole new set of groundbreaking SEO tools and analytics by partnering with Similarweb including:
  • Traffic analysis
  • Competitor intelligence
  • Advanced reporting

While the roadmap isn’t confirmed yet, rest assured we are hyper-focused on bringing the power of Similarweb data alongside your keyword and web-property data. We will be announcing product updates as soon as they become available and can ensure they will not impact your existing dashboards.

Will there be any dramatic pricing changes? 

Pricing will not be increasing as a result of the acquisition. We have found a price point that works for our customers and in the coming months we have no plans to change this.

Will there be any changes to customer service? 

Rank Ranger prides itself in having great customer service and we will continue to provide the support our customers are accustomed to.
